Women Empowerment through Education

Women Empowerment through Education is a non-profit organization in Nigeria, committed to the promotion of girls’ education.

We work so that women will find their own identity, have self-confidence, actualize themselves and be self-reliant so as to contribute to a holistic human development.

Sr. Dr. Mary Rose-Claret Ogbuehi, IHM is the founder of Women Empowerment Through Education. The organization is based on the charism of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ compassion and women's upliftment.

The Congregation contributes to the empowerment of women through education, skills, health care, agriculture, care of abandoned children and sharing of food to the poor, thereby accelerating development.
