Women Empowerment through Education (WETE) is a non-profit organization founded to empower women in Nigeria through education. The organization was established by Sr. Dr. Mary Rose-Claret Ogbuehi, IHM, and is based on the charism of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ.

WETE aims to promote girls’ education and help women find their identity, build self-confidence, and become self-reliant. The organization believes that education is the key to empowering women and helping them to contribute to human development.

WETE’s work centres on providing education and training programs that empower women to be community leaders. The organization offers scholarships to girls who are persecuted for their faith and also provides workshops and training programs to help women develop the skills they need to succeed in their careers.

In addition to education and training programs, WETE provides healthcare services to needy women. The organization is committed to helping women maintain good health and well-being, providing medical care and support to those in need.

WETE also focuses on helping women in agriculture and caring for abandoned children. The organization provides support to women who are involved in farming and aids them in becoming more self-sufficient and productive. WETE also provides food support to the poor, helping to fight hunger and malnutrition in the communities where it works.

WETE’s work is based on the belief that women are essential to society and that empowering women is vital for human development. The organization’s programs are designed to help women build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
