WETE Second-Batch Matriculation Holds with Heartfelt Thanks to Funders
On 26 June 2024, the WETE Coordinator joined learners, trainers, and guests at the skills centre for the matriculation of the second batch of WETE beneficiaries. The gathering was warm and hopeful. Smiles were easy. Nerves were normal. Everyone understood that this day marked a fresh start.
In a simple and touching moment, the beneficiaries thanked the funders, the Stephanus Foundation, with a homemade cake. It was neat and thoughtful. It showed care, teamwork, and pride. The Coordinator accepted the gift on behalf of WETE, and the room broke into applause.
Enrolment at the centre continues to grow. Sixty-one students are now registered across the programmes, with seventeen learners supported as WETE beneficiaries in this second batch. These figures reflect trust in the initiative and an apparent wish among young people to gain practical skills that can open doors.
