An Initiative To Strengthen Teaching Quality at Nazareth House
On 16 September 2025, the WETE Coordinator met tutors at Nazareth House Skill Centre to agree on best practices for lifting training quality. The discussion focused on what helps learners and what tutors can apply in classes.
Together, they reviewed lesson planning, class timing, and safe workshop routines. Agreed actions included demonstrations, step-by-step checklists, and feedback. Hygiene standards and tool care were reaffirmed, plus skill cards and photo logs to show progress.
Assessment shifted to small, frequent checks rather than one big test. Tutors will use rubrics to score neatness, accuracy, time management, and safety. Each learner sets a target and reports back next lesson to build accountability.
Teachers thanked WETE for the tools they can use immediately and for sustained support. The visit concluded with a review cycle agreed upon to monitor progress, encourage consistency, and continually improve training quality—one step at a time.
